Viral protest trio teases new ‘Season 2’ video as Delhi rally draws thousands
Instagram user Abhinav Bisht posted a new clip featuring Muhammad Shan and Nikhil Verma, hinting at a comeback of the viral faces from the July CJP protests, while a Saturday demonstration in Delhi led to the detention of over 7,000 participants.
Abhinav Bisht uploaded a new Instagram video that reunites him with fellow protest figures Muhammad Shan and Nikhil Verma, recreating the style of their July demonstrations and labeling the clip “Ready for Season 2.” The short, set to familiar background music, has quickly surpassed 16 million views and sparked comments praising the collaboration. The footage coincides with a fresh protest in Delhi organized by the Cockroach Janta Party, which called for Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to step down over alleged voter-deletion irregularities tied to the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.
Authorities refused to grant permission for the gathering, citing concerns over public order, and the police response resulted in the arrest of more than 7,000 participants. The July protests had originally focused on the NEET-UG paper leak controversy and calls for the resignation of then-Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, while also leveraging humor, memes and popular songs to amplify their message online.
