Randon Sprinkle, a 31-year-old political consultant with deep ties to Virginia’s Democratic Party, received a ten-year federal prison sentence after an FBI Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force operation led to his arrest. Acting on a dating app, he communicated with an undercover agent posing as the father of a 9-year-old boy, offered to travel to Washington, D.C., and sent a video showing adults abusing a minor.
A subsequent search uncovered dozens of child-abuse files. Sprinkle’s political résumé includes serving as finance chairman for the Democratic Party of Virginia, treasurer for the Metro Richmond Area Young Democrats, delegate to the 2024 Democratic National Convention, and staff positions on campaigns for Rep. Jennifer McClellan, Rep. Abigail Spanberger, Lt. Gov. Ghazala Hashmi, and state Sen. Jennifer Boysko. Following his indictment, the Metro Richmond Area Young Democrats terminated all ties, and the Spanberger campaign donated his prior $1,000 contribution to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
