Virginia realtor slain by husband; suspect arrested after three-state chase

Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman said deputies were called to a home in Aldie after a family member alerted authorities that a homicide might have occurred. Upon arrival, officers found Lisa Bradford, a full-time real-estate agent with Compass, dead from a gunshot wound; the weapon has not yet been recovered. Her husband, Roger Bradford, had already left the scene in a rental vehicle, prompting a coordinated search that spanned Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania State Police located and arrested Bradford in Bedford around 3:15 p.m., roughly three hours after the initial call. He has been charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and will remain in Pennsylvania pending extradition. The couple’s three children have been notified, and investigators continue to examine the home and the rental car for further evidence.
