Filip Dewinter of Vlaams Belang suffered minor head injuries after a physical altercation with a wedding party at Antwerp's city hall.

At the same time, a wedding celebration of roughly fifty people was taking place nearby on the Grote Markt. A disagreement arose, during which Dewinter says he was seized by the throat and beaten by a group of ten to fifteen people, resulting in a bleeding eyebrow wound.
