Walmart introduces combined Walmart+ and Sam’s Club Plus membership for $120 annually

Walmart will offer a joint Walmart+ and Sam’s Club Plus subscription at $120 per year, a discount of nearly $100 versus buying them separately.

Walmart announced a new annual membership bundle that merges Walmart+ and Sam’s Club Plus for a total of $120, saving customers almost $100 compared with purchasing the two services individually. The combined plan provides the full suite of benefits from both programs, such as free shipping from both retailers, access to Sam’s Club locations, member-only pricing, streaming choices between Peacock and Paramount+, gasoline discounts and a 2% Sam’s Cash rebate on qualifying purchases.

The offering will be sold only on a yearly basis, with no monthly subscription or free-trial option. During the fiscal 2027 second-quarter earnings call, CEO Doug Furner highlighted a 17% rise in membership fee revenue and double-digit growth for both Walmart+ and Sam’s Club memberships across the United States, China and Mexico. Current members can upgrade to the bundle at reduced rates, and Walmart’s U.S. field staff will receive the combined membership as part of their benefits. The initiative is timed amid higher consumer price pressures, with inflation up 3.7% year-over-year and gasoline prices climbing more than 34% over the past year.

Why it matters

The bundle offers shoppers a cheaper way to access two major retail membership programs, potentially boosting loyalty and revenue for Walmart.
