Walmart recalls Bettergoods frozen pasta over possible listeria contamination
Walmart is asking shoppers to inspect their freezers after Gias Foods recalled specific lots of Bettergoods Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine due to potential listeria presence.
A recall has been issued for Bettergoods Authentic Italian Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine sold in Walmart stores across the United States after testing suggested possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. Gias Foods Inc., the supplier, identified two affected lots—L6079C (expires Sept. 19, 2027) and L6080C (expires Sept. 20, 2027)—both bearing UPC 194346442706 and packaged in 22-ounce yellow plastic bags. The recall follows routine sampling by the Washington State Department of Agriculture and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, and the FDA posted the notice as a public service.
No cases of illness have been linked to the product, and Gias Foods has stopped further distribution while the cause is investigated. Shoppers are urged to locate any such packages in their freezers and return them to the point of purchase for a full refund, with contact information provided for inquiries.
