Warsaw to Host ‘I, Brother Francis’ Exhibition Marking 800 Years of St. Francis
A traveling exhibition on St. Francis of Assisi will be displayed in Warsaw’s All Saints Church from October 9-11 2026, featuring historic artifacts and contemporary art.
The “I, Brother Francis. 800 years of a great adventure” exhibition, conceived by Franciscan minister Francesco Piloni, will open in the crypt of Warsaw’s All Saints Church on Grzybowski Square from October 9 to 11 2026. After debuting at the 46th Meeting for Friendship among Nations in Rimini and traveling through Italy, Jerusalem and Bellinzona, the exhibit arrives in Poland through the Comunione e Liberazione network.
It showcases the Testament of St. Francis, a Cimabue portrait, and several pieces by friar-artist Sidival Fili, alongside historical panels tracing Francis’s life. The event is supported by the hospice foundation “My Home” and features student guides, panel discussions, a film by Franco Zeffirelli, workshops, and a concert inspired by the Sun Song. Honorary patrons include the papal nuncio Antonio Guido Filipazzi and Archbishop Adrian Galbas, with media support from EWTN Poland, Wnet and Radio Niepokalanów.
