Acting U.S. Attorney Neil Floyd announced the arrest of a 30-year-old from western Washington on a conspiracy to murder persons in a foreign country. The charge stems from the February 10 massacre at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in British Columbia, where shooter Jesse Van Rootselaar killed five students and an educational assistant before taking his own life, and his mother and half-brother were later found dead.
