West Bank Settlers Kidnap and Assault Palestinian Lawyer Near Nablus

A group of armed settlers seized a Palestinian lawyer driving out of Nablus, handcuffed, blindfolded and beat him for several hours.

While leaving his office in Nablus, a young Palestinian lawyer was intercepted by about fifteen armed settlers. They forced him from his car, tied his hands, covered his eyes with his own tie and placed his court robe over his head. The men then beat and robbed him, holding him captive for hours. The incident illustrates a shift in settler violence toward highway robbery and personal intimidation.
