A new nationwide ranking of winery restaurants shows the West Coast leading the scene, with Portland’s Amaterra Winery taking the number-one spot. California follows closely, holding five places in the top ten: Bolero Restaurante at Europa Village in Temecula Valley (rank 2), Rustic at Francis Ford Coppola’s Geyserville winery (rank 4), Mama Rosa’s Trattoria on Robert Renzoni Vineyards (rank 6), the Michelin-starred Restaurant at JUSTIN in Paso Robles (rank 7) and Roblar Winery and Vineyards in Santa Ynez (rank 9).
Arizona’s Pronghorn Pizza, a stand-alone shop inside the Dos Cabezas WineWorks tasting room, appears at rank 8, while Oregon’s Farm & Forage at Sokol Blosser Winery (rank 3), New York’s Tasting Barn at Ryan William Vineyard (rank 5) and Washington’s Restaurant at DeLille Cellars (rank 10) round out the list. The rankings highlight the growing appeal of dining experiences that pair local cuisine with estate-grown wines.
