West Kensington regeneration to add 32,000 jobs and over 4,400 homes by 2030
A £11.8 billion redevelopment of Earls Court, Olympia and West Cromwell Road is set to create roughly 32,500 jobs and more than 4,400 new homes in West Kensington.
Earls Court, Olympia and 100 West Cromwell Road together form a 62-acre regeneration zone in West Kensington, projected to generate about 32,500 jobs and construct over 4,400 homes by 2030. The scheme will add more than three million square feet of mixed-use space, including offices, retail, hospitality and leisure facilities. PriceHubble’s analysis, commissioned by SevenCapital, puts the gross development value at £11.8 billion and forecasts an annual property-value uplift of 2.2-2.9 % on top of the borough’s historic 5.2 % growth.
The investment is expected to inject £3.8 billion into the local economy and narrow the price gap between West Kensington and neighbouring upscale districts such as Kensington, Chelsea and Belgravia. Sandra Jones of PriceHubble said the scale of the project could fundamentally reshape the area’s economic and cultural landscape, while James Moody of SevenCapital called it a rare chance for buyers to enter a market poised for significant capital appreciation.
Why it matters
The development could transform West Kensington’s economy, housing supply and property market over the next decade.
