A fourth fatality has been recorded among 27 locally-acquired West Nile virus infections in Île-de-France, according to the latest health bulletin.

Health authorities report that 27 people in Île-de-France contracted West Nile virus locally, with symptoms appearing between mid-July and mid-October. Fifteen of those cases developed neuro-invasive disease, and four have died. The latest figures add four new infections and one additional death since the previous update at the end of September.
