White House to host crypto firms and prediction market leaders for advisory kickoff

The White House will hold a meeting on Wednesday with top cryptocurrency and prediction-market executives, featuring remarks from Donald Trump and CFTC Chair Mike Selig.

Officials have arranged a White House meeting for Wednesday that will bring together senior figures from major cryptocurrency platforms and a prediction-market operator. President Donald Trump and CFTC Chair Mike Selig are slated to address the attendees, which include executives from Coinbase, a16z, Ripple, Chainlink, Kalshi and the investment firm Paradigm, as well as the trade group Digital Chamber. Patrick Witt, who leads the president’s council of advisers for digital assets, will also be present.

This session serves as a prelude to the inaugural meeting of the CFTC’s 35-person Innovation Advisory Committee scheduled for Thursday, a body that counts the same firms among its members alongside CME Group and Intercontinental Exchange. Neither the White House nor the CFTC provided comment on the gathering. The meeting reflects an effort to foster cooperation between regulators and the fast-growing digital-asset industry.
