Wildberries Starts Test Phase of WB Taxi Service in Yerevan

Wildberries, the Russian online retailer, and its transportation arm Russ have opened a test launch of the WB Taxi ride-hailing platform in Yerevan, Armenia. Access during this first phase is restricted to Wildberries employees and its business partners, with a waiting list opened for regular users as the rollout expands. The company notes that Armenia becomes the fourth country where rides can be ordered through WB Taxi, following earlier launches in Belarus, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan since mid-2025.

Although the WB Taxi app is available for download in Russia, the domestic version is being used primarily for development and platform improvement rather than commercial operations. This initiative follows Wildberries' acquisition of three ride-hailing and delivery firms earlier this year, aiming to compete directly with Yandex, whose Yandex Go service currently dominates the Russian market.
