Wilson's Defyer Racket Tested Worldwide by Top Tour Players

Wilson’s development team moved quickly to place early Defyer prototypes in the hands of elite players, a task overseen by tour strategy lead Pablo Gor. Players such as Karen Khachanov, Peyton Stearns and Holger Rune traveled to testing sites in Monaco and Dubai, providing detailed feedback on feel, power and spin. Khachanov emphasized the importance of confidence and control, requesting slight variations in string patterns and construction for each session.

Stearns, despite an injury concern, played an exhibition with the racket, won, and decided to adopt it. Gor’s team acted as translators, converting player language into technical specifications for engineers, while product staff observed the sessions to capture nuanced preferences. This accelerated testing, normally done in the off-season, aimed to refine the Defyer before its public launch.
