Wisconsin man arrested after home invasion and attempted assault in upscale D.C. neighborhood
A 24-year-old Wisconsin man was arrested for breaking into the former Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner home after an earlier attempted sexual assault at another house in the same affluent D.C. area.
An 18-year-old woman awoke to find a man in her Kalorama Road bedroom, who silenced her, restrained her and declared he wanted to be her boyfriend before she fled to a bathroom and escaped. Police later received a call about an unwelcome presence at the former Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner residence in the same affluent Washington D.C. enclave. Investigators identified the intruder as 24-year-old Donrae Henderson of Wisconsin, who presented forged documents asserting he owned the $6-million-plus property.
Matching his description to the earlier assault led to his arrest. Henderson has been detained previously, including a May 3 arrest for attempting to enter a restricted White House zone while claiming an interview with President Donald Trump. The area also houses former President Barack Obama’s former $8.1 million mansion.
