Wisconsin man arrested for stalking found with human remains and serial-killer memorabilia
Police in Wisconsin arrested a 47-year-old man on a felony stalking charge after a search of his home uncovered human remains, a mummy, and collections honoring infamous killers.
A Madison woman reported that Benjamin Larson was stalking her, prompting law enforcement to serve a search warrant at his Fond du Lac County home in Taycheedah. The raid revealed a disturbing array of artifacts, including human skeletal remains displayed in a glass casket, a mummy marked "Princess Taheb 1600," and skulls arranged as a shrine to serial killer Ed Gein, alongside memorabilia referencing John Wayne Gacy and the Zodiac Killer.
Nude photographs of unidentified women and binders cataloguing the women Larson allegedly pursued were also found. Investigators forced entry into a padlocked room, uncovering a bedroom with a lifelike silicone sex doll and a portrait resembling the complainant, as well as personal items such as an earring and a pressed flower linked to her. Larson was arrested on a felony stalking charge, released on $15,000 cash bail, and is scheduled for arraignment on September 11.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office said a forensic anthropologist believes many of the remains may be ancient Native American, but further testing is required. District Attorney Eric Toney criticized the low bail amount, calling the case "beyond disturbing."
