Panettiere, aged 36, was discovered unresponsive in a Greenville County, South Carolina apartment on August 16, after a call reporting cardiac arrest and a suspected overdose. Emergency responders were unable to revive her, and the coroner reported no evidence of foul play, with the cause of death still pending. Her father, Skip Panettiere, also released a statement expressing sorrow and requesting privacy for the family.
