Woman arrested in Mildura after 500ml of illicit drug seized at Melbourne Airport
A 33-year-old woman was detained in Mildura after police intercepted about 500 ml of 1,4-Butanediol at Melbourne Airport.
Authorities say the woman attempted to bring roughly 500 ml of the drug 1,4-Butanediol into Mildura. Australian Border Force stopped the substance at Melbourne Airport in June, and detectives from the Mildura Divisional Response Unit later arrested her at her home. She now faces a Commonwealth charge for importing a marketable quantity of a border-controlled substance and is scheduled to appear in court on December 16.
