Woman dies after husband allegedly shocks her over land dispute in Meerut

A 32-year-old woman named Nasreen died from electrocution after her husband Israr allegedly shocked her when she refused to sell her share of family land.

Police say Nasreen was attacked with electric currents, including to her private areas, following a disagreement on August 14 about selling her portion of ancestral property. The post-mortem confirmed death by electrocution. An FIR lists Israr, his father Hanif, sisters Babbo and Rafat, and brothers-in-law Istekar and Noor Alam as suspects; Israr has been detained while the others remain at large.
