Woman fatally stabbed by neighbour in Jagadhri after entering his home
A 26-year-old woman died from multiple stab wounds inflicted by a neighbour in Jagadhri, while her four-year-old son was with her.
On Wednesday evening in Patri Mohalla, Jagadhri, 26-year-old Priya was assaulted with a knife by her neighbour Sajan after she entered his house with her four-year-old son. The assailant pursued her inside and inflicted multiple stab wounds to her head, neck, arm, abdomen and waist. Priya was rushed to the Civil Hospital in Yamunanagar, where she died during treatment.
The police registered a murder FIR against Sajan, citing sections 103(1) and 333 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and a crime-scene team secured the area. Investigators noted prior disputes between Sajan and Priya’s family, including earlier allegations of molestation and assaults. Sajan remains at large, and authorities are working to apprehend him.
