World Cup star Lamine Yamal debuts streetwear line with American Eagle
World Cup champion Lamine Yamal has launched a 29-item streetwear capsule for American Eagle, featuring oversized denim and cargo styles.
After helping Spain capture the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Lamine Yamal teamed up with American Eagle for his debut exclusive apparel line. The capsule, unveiled Thursday, comprises 29 items such as ultra-baggy denim, cargo and carpenter pants, oversized button-downs and workwear jackets, all inspired by Yamal's own style. American Eagle's chief marketing officer Craig Brommer highlighted Yamal's confidence on and off the pitch as a key factor, noting the collection aims to reflect how Gen Z dresses today.
This launch follows a five-year partnership that appointed Yamal as the retailer's first global brand ambassador in January, encompassing multiple campaigns and limited-edition collaborations. The collection is available online and at select U.S. stores, with pieces like the renamed "AE 19" denim nodding to Yamal's jersey number.
Why it matters
The partnership links a rising sports icon with a major retailer, targeting Gen Z shoppers and expanding Yamal's brand beyond football.
