World Rally Championship title decided early in Sardinia after Saudi rally cancelled
The season-ending rally in Saudi Arabia was called off due to the Middle East conflict, so the championship will be decided at the Sardinia event.
Because of the ongoing Middle East war, the final World Rally Championship round scheduled for Saudi Arabia has been cancelled. The title will therefore be contested a month and a half early in Sardinia. Leader Elfyn Evans arrives with a 17-point lead over teammate Sami Pajari, while Oliver Solberg trails by 21 points. No other driver can mathematically challenge them, guaranteeing a first-time champion.
