World Trade Center steel beam continues 9/11 remembrance tour, stops in Boston after West Point
A 21‑foot, 16,900‑pound steel beam salvaged from the World Trade Center’s South Tower arrived at the United States Military Academy at West Point, where it was unveiled during a ceremony that included a color guard and a Pipes & Drums procession by members of the NYPD, FDNY and Port Authority Police Department. The beam was then transported to Fenway Park in Boston, where the public could view the historic artifact.
