Xreal has begun pre-orders for its Aura Android XR smartglasses, a tethered headset priced from $1,279, with shipments slated for the US, Canada, Japan and South Korea.

Xreal announced that its Aura Android XR smartglasses are now open for pre-order, with a base price of $1,279 for the entry configuration. The glasses connect to an external compute puck running Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Reality Elite chip, providing Android XR apps via Google Play and AI functions through Gemini. At less than 95 grams, the headset offers a 70-degree field of view, transparent lenses for real-world visibility, precise hand tracking, and Bose-tuned sound.

Buyers can choose between 12 GB RAM/256 GB storage or 16 GB RAM/512 GB storage, the latter priced at $1,499. The Aura will initially ship to the United States, Canada, Japan and South Korea, with a rollout to additional markets planned for 2027.
