Sultan Ibrahim reminded Malaysians that online freedom must be paired with respect, urging users to avoid insults and verify information, and cautioned against creating fake AI content.

During the 105th UiTM Convocation at the Tuanku Canselor Grand Hall in Shah Alam, Sultan Ibrahim, also the university's chancellor, appealed for respectful behavior on social media, stating that liberty requires responsibility. He condemned the misuse of platforms to incite hostility, spread hatred, or demean individuals, and advised critics to be constructive and tactful. The monarch warned citizens against creating or sharing AI-generated deepfakes that could embarrass others.

He also urged people to check the authenticity of news before reposting, to prevent the spread of falsehoods. Additionally, the Sultan announced the renaming of UiTM's Jalan Othman campus to Tun Arshad Ayub Campus in honor of the institution's pioneering first director. Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin attended the ceremony as UiTM Pro-Chancellor.
