Ye's St. Petersburg concerts called off after weeks of mixed messages
Two planned Ye shows at Gazprom Arena in St. Petersburg have been officially canceled, with ticket holders directed to seek refunds from promoter Say Agency.
After weeks of uncertainty, the October 10 and 11 performances by rapper Ye at St. Petersburg's Gazprom Arena were formally called off. Access Opera's Instagram account announced the cancellation and instructed ticket owners to request refunds from the Russian promoter Say Agency. The venue later denied ever signing a contract with Say Agency, while the promoter initially insisted the concerts would proceed before retracting that claim.
Conservative politicians in Russia condemned the shows due to Ye's history of praising Adolf Hitler, which is illegal in the country, and reports hinted at a direct Kremlin order. Although Luzhniki Stadium expressed willingness to host the event after Gazprom Arena's withdrawal, no new venue has been confirmed. A Turkish agency that organized Ye's May concert in Istanbul listed a tentative Moscow date for July 2027, but no firm plans exist.
