Yellow fog warning issued for Suceava and Neamț counties as winds pick up in southern regions

The Administrația Națională de Meteorologie released a yellow-level fog warning on Sunday for numerous settlements in the northern Moldavian counties of Suceava and Neamț, valid until 12:00. Affected towns include Vatra Dornei, Broșteni, Frasin, Vama, Șaru Dornei and several others in Suceava, as well as Borca, Poiana Teiului and Farcașa in Neamț. The fog is expected to be dense, reducing road visibility to less than 200 metres and, in isolated spots, under 50 metres.

Concurrently, the service forecasts temporary wind intensifications across the southern half of Moldavia, the Dobrogea region and most of Muntenia, with typical speeds of 45-55 km/h and stronger gusts of 55-75 km/h in the Carpathian foothills. Motorists traveling through the warned zones are advised to lower speed, increase following distance and drive cautiously under the reduced-visibility conditions.
