Yemeni government intensifies air strikes on Houthi positions in Taiz region

Yemeni government aircraft carried out a series of air raids on Houthi installations around the southwestern province of Taiz, striking a missile launch platform at Taiz airport and several southern neighborhoods. Houthi forces concentrated armed units, vehicles and heavy weapons east of the city and responded with artillery shells aimed at government positions on the al-Kadeha front. According to Houthi-run al-Masirah TV, Saudi-coalition bombings in Taiz resulted in at least three civilian deaths, including two children, and two injuries.

The Saudi-led coalition later reported that Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabian cities Khamis Mushait, Abha and Taif left 13 civilians wounded. Additional government strikes were reported in Dhubab and Mokha, extending the fighting beyond Taiz.
