Young chef killed after being dragged by car in Bengaluru traffic clash
A 25-year-old chef was struck by a vehicle and dragged for about 100-150 metres in Bengaluru, resulting in his death.
In Bengaluru's Electronics City district, a 25-year-old chef named Ranjith Kumar Sahu was killed after a white sedan hit him and dragged him for roughly 100-150 metres during a traffic dispute. The clash began when a friend, Nitish Kumar Mukhiya, gestured for the driver to reduce speed, but the occupants turned around and engaged the youths in a heated argument. When Sahu intervened, the driver ran him over and continued moving, leaving the severely injured victim beside the road.
He was rushed to a hospital where doctors could not save his life. Police investigations, using CCTV footage and witness statements, have led to the detention of three men from Assam—Ajay Rabidas, Sajal Namasudra, and Bijoy Ray—while a fourth suspect, identified as the car's owner Shyam Khoart, remains at large.
