Young man and accomplice arrested for plotting murder of French magistrate

A 22-year-old man, described as coming from a well-off background, and a 32-year-old accomplice were arrested and subsequently placed in pre-trial custody by a Paris judge. Their lawyer succeeded in ending the younger suspect’s isolation in prison. Authorities accuse them of running an illicit online platform as part of an organized group, seeking to hire a judge in Créteil for a large sum, and claiming ties to the DZ Mafia.
The charges include illegal platform administration, participation in a conspiracy to murder a magistrate, and membership in a criminal association. The alleged solicitation was posted in March 2025. Both suspects remain detained pending further proceedings.
