Young voters demand USPS board guarantee delivery of all mail-in ballots

In a closed-door gathering of the United States Postal Service Board of Governors, a cohort of young voters entered the room with ballot-laden parcels and demanded a commitment to ship every mail-in ballot. Speakers such as Alex Ames and Stella Lovelady warned that the administration’s actions threatened to invalidate millions of votes, particularly those of younger voters. They referenced the current mailing of ballots and asked the board to reject any plan to discard them.
Board chair Amber F. McReynolds responded politely, noting the protest was noted but that the topic was not on the meeting’s agenda. The Sunrise Movement also called on the board to oppose the administration’s executive order, emphasizing that nearly 47 million Americans rely on mail voting.
