YouTrip reports widespread service disruption in Singapore and Thailand
Multi-currency e-wallet YouTrip said most of its Singapore and Thailand services were down on Monday, affecting top-ups, exchanges and payments.
On Monday, YouTrip disclosed a significant outage affecting the majority of its services in Singapore and Thailand. In Singapore, 19 out of 23 services—including wallet top-ups, currency exchange and payment authentication—were unavailable. Thailand saw a similar problem, with only three of 14 services listed as functional.
The e-wallet provider posted the notice on its website and responded to a Facebook comment, acknowledging technical difficulties and advising customers that card payments and ATM withdrawals might experience degradation. YouTrip said its technical teams are conducting maintenance to resolve the issues. This disruption follows a February episode where users were erroneously charged for attempted card transactions. The company has been contacted for further details on one outlet outage.
Why it matters
The outage hampers everyday financial transactions for YouTrip users across two countries.
