YouTuber tests Beverly Hills tipping by delivering food for a day
A YouTuber spent a day delivering meals in Beverly Hills, earning $346 in tips and fees while navigating the affluent neighborhood.
YouTuber iamBrandon set out to see how much tip money he could collect delivering food in the wealthy enclave of Beverly Hills, using a $150 used e-bike and no previous DoorDash or Uber Eats background. He signed up for both platforms to maximize orders, facing challenges such as steep climbs, misdirected routes that turned short trips into six-mile hauls, and periods where no delivery requests came through. Nonetheless, he secured several large tips, including a $35 and a $43 tip for a bowl of soup, bringing his total earnings to $346—$143 from DoorDash and $203 from Uber Eats.
After the shift, he found a hotel room for $310, covering his expenses. He concluded the experiment by hinting at a future test in the nearby gated community of Hidden Hills.
