Yude Solar and SEDAYUSolar Launch Joint Venture to Build Indonesian Solar Projects

Yude Solar and Indonesia's SEDAYUSolar have formed a joint venture to develop, finance, construct and operate solar installations across the country.

Yude Solar, a Chinese rooftop solar developer, and Indonesia-based SEDAYUSolar have created a strategic joint venture to pursue solar projects throughout Indonesia. The collaboration combines Yude Solar's global project development, financing and technology capabilities with SEDAYUSolar's on-the-ground EPC know-how and market insight. The venture will focus on commercial-and-industrial rooftop installations, ground-mounted arrays and utility-scale plants, with the option to integrate battery energy storage systems to boost renewable utilization and grid resilience.

Executives Bryan Bao, Fendi Liem and Milan Koev highlighted the goal of building a scalable platform that links development, capital, technology, construction and long-term operations. Yude Solar brings more than 3 GW of completed projects, while SEDAYUSolar has delivered over 250 projects since 2009.

Why it matters

The alliance could accelerate Indonesia's renewable energy rollout and attract new investment to the region.
