Zidane unveils fresh France squad, leaves Tchouaméni out of Euro qualifiers

At the French Football Federation headquarters in Paris, Zinédine Zidane revealed his first 23-player list for the national team. The roster introduces a wave of new talent, highlighted by Ligue 1 top scorer Lepaul and defenders Diouf, Jacquet and Da Cuhna, while welcoming back Truffert and Kalulu, who were not regulars under Deschamps. Goalkeeping duties are assigned to Maignan, Restes and Risser, and the back line includes Diouf, Jacquet, Kalulu, Konaté, Koundé, Lacroix, Truffert and Upamecano.

In midfield, Camavinga, Cherki, Da Cuhna, Koné, Rabiot and Zaïre-Emery feature, and the forward line is anchored by Barcola, Dembélé, Doué, Lepaul, Mbappé and Olise. Tchouaméni was excluded from the squad, a surprise given his gradual return at Real Madrid. France’s schedule comprises matches against Turkey in Izmir, Belgium in Brussels, Italy in Saint-Denis, and a second Belgium fixture in Saint-Denis.
