Zomato founder says Temple wearable is now under half its original size

Deepinder Goyal announced that the Temple brain-monitoring wearable has been reduced to less than half the volume of the prototype previously shown and is slated for limited pre-orders before the end of 2026.

Zomato’s founder and former chief executive Deepinder Goyal used X to disclose that the Temple brain-monitoring wearable has been redesigned to be under half the size of the version previously displayed, positioning it as the market’s smallest wearable by volume and, according to him, the most powerful. He noted that this size reduction brings the product closer to a limited launch, with pre-orders to begin shortly and deliveries planned before the end of 2026.

Prospective customers are encouraged to join a mailing list on the Temple website for launch notifications. The device, which measures cerebral blood flow and oxygenation, was spotted on Indian badminton champion PV Sindhu during the BWF World Championships held in New Delhi. Temple remains in an early-access testing phase, and Goyal has not provided official benchmarking figures, stating that scientific details will be shared once the product reaches the market.

Why it matters

The update signals a potentially breakthrough wearable that could impact personal health monitoring and tech markets.
