Police have identified an 11-year-old boy as the youngest participant in the recent Milan riots, alongside a 16-year-old suspect.
Following the violent disturbances that swept Milan over the weekend, police disclosed that the youngest identified participant is an 11-year-old boy attending a middle school in the Barona district on the city’s southwestern edge. Video footage shows him exiting the Fusaro shop while carrying several belts during the looting. A second minor, a 16-year-old from Desio in the Brianza area, was captured on Saturday wearing a Carabinieri cap and now faces accusations of devastation, theft and contempt for the armed forces.
In total, about 270 people were taken to police stations, with minors comprising roughly 80% of those detained. The clashes resulted in injuries to fourteen police officers. The Carabinieri continue to investigate the incidents.
