Abhishek Sharma sets Indian T20I record with 30-ball century and yoga pose

In the final T20 International of the series in New Delhi, Abhishek Sharma produced a 108-run knock off 34 deliveries, smashing 11 sixes and nine fours. The innings was completed in just 30 balls, establishing a new record for the fastest T20I century by an Indian and the quickest by any player from a Test-playing nation, surpassing Rohit Sharma's 35-ball effort from 2017. Sharma's hundred came in the ninth over of India's chase against Afghanistan at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Following the milestone, he took off his helmet, sat on the pitch and struck a meditation yoga pose, drawing applause from his father in the stands and a broad smile from head coach Gautam Gambhir. This performance gave Sharma his third T20 century and added to his tally of 12 half-centuries in the format.
