Adani Group pledges over ₹1 trillion for West Bengal projects by 2035

Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group, declared that the company will channel more than ₹1 trillion into West Bengal by 2035. The announcement followed a foundation-laying ceremony for a new 2,000-bed multi-specialty hospital, the Adani Arogya Mandir, in New Town near Kolkata, with a budget of ₹4,000 crore and an expected employment boost of 10,000 positions. Alongside the hospital, the group intends to invest in the state’s ports, logistics networks, power generation, road construction and data-centre facilities.

This large-scale private-sector investment aims to expand infrastructure and health services across the region. The plan is expected to spur economic growth and create substantial job opportunities in multiple sectors. Officials highlighted the project as a catalyst for West Bengal’s long-term development.
