Alina Gorghiu questions Siegfried Mureșan's ability to secure parliamentary majority

Following President Nicușor Dan's nomination of Siegfried Mureșan for prime minister, PNL deputy Alina Gorghiu posted a video stating she does not see a path to the 233 parliamentary votes needed for a government investiture. She explained that the president's appointment shifts the burden to the designated premier, who must now demonstrate the ability to assemble a solid majority. Gorghiu warned that the nomination alone does not ensure the government's formation; the future premier must draft a governing program, negotiate with parliamentary parties, and present a cabinet list.

She stressed the urgency of starting these negotiations immediately. The president had indicated he was awaiting confirmation before publishing the decree, and Mureșan posted on Facebook that he accepts the proposal.
