Anwar Ibrahim pledges Bumiputera support while safeguarding rights of all Malaysians

At a gathering of UiTM alumni in Shah Alam, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim affirmed his dedication to promoting the welfare of Malays and Bumiputeras, but warned that their progress must not come at the expense of other Malaysians. He stressed that the Bumiputera development plan can be strengthened while upholding social justice and respecting the constitutional rights of non-Malay citizens. Anwar rejected any viewpoint that demeans other communities or denies their contributions.

He highlighted the need for transparent management of funds allocated to Bumiputera agencies to prevent misuse. The address also referenced the broader Madani government framework, which must operate within the country’s constitutional limits. Overall, the administration aims to balance targeted development with inclusive national cohesion.
