Attorney General hands reclaimed forest and plantation lands to Forestry Ministry

In a symbolic ceremony at the Attorney General's Office, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin transferred reclaimed lands to the Forestry Ministry, witnessed by President Prabowo Subianto. The parcels include 140,762.04 hectares designated for plantation use, to be overseen by the state firm PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara, 118,256.74 hectares of forest conservation and protected forest slated for reforestation, and 211.95 hectares of former mining sites.
Burhanuddin highlighted the operation's success in restoring state control over forest and mining areas since the task force's inception in February 2025. The move aligns with Article 33 Paragraph 3 of the 1945 Constitution, emphasizing state ownership of natural resources for public benefit. The task force was created under Presidential Regulation No. 5 of 2025.
