Ben Gvir urges execution of suspect under Terrorist Death Penalty Law

Itamar Ben Gvir, chairman of Otzma Yehudit and Israel’s National Security Minister, urged that the Terrorist Death Penalty Law be invoked to execute the individual responsible for the Sunday shooting in Binyamin. He emphasized that the statute requires mandatory capital punishment in cases like this and called for immediate implementation. The assault took place at the Ein Raya spring, targeting Netanel Shakron, a resident of Alei Zahav and father of six.
After opening fire from his car, the attacker exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Israeli Defense Forces surrounded Deir Nizam, and the elite Duvdevan Unit apprehended the suspect at a hospital in Ramallah following a prolonged chase.
