Bersatu and PH leaders hold closed-door dinner to discuss Melaka election cooperation

In Melaka, senior members of Bersatu and Pakatan Harapan gathered for a private dinner at a hotel on Jalan Hang Tuah, signaling early talks on a joint strategy for the forthcoming state election. Attendees included Bersatu information chief Datuk Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz, state election director Datuk Seri Mohamad Ali Mohamad, associate wing vice-chief Datuk Seri R. Sanjeevan, and Melaka Bersatu information chief Datuk Hishamuddin Abdul Karim.

From PH, Melaka Amanah chairman Datuk Ashraf Mukhlis Minghat and acting state PKR chairman Adam Adli Abdul Halim were present, as well as Parti Bumiputera Perkasa Malaysia president Datuk Dr Ibrahim Ali. Hishamuddin characterized the meeting as an informal introductory session aimed at collecting parties' initial perspectives, while leaving room for further cooperation discussions. Earlier reports indicated that Melaka PH might contest the election under a PH Plus formula without Barisan Nasional, and that its chairman Adly Zahari had not yet negotiated with BN. The dinner suggests ongoing negotiations with multiple parties sharing similar goals.
