Bouches-du-Rhône mayor denounces intimidation after joining right-wing Senate list

Jean Mangion, who serves as mayor of Saint-Étienne-du-Grès and presides over the Alpilles regional park and the Arles area, joined the LR Senate list headed by Valérie Boyer, occupying the fourth position. Following this move, he alleges he has been labeled a “Judas” and subjected to personal attacks. Mangion accuses certain political actors of trying to impose their will on mayors through pressure and threats.

When contacted, officials associated with Renaud Muselier categorically rejected the accusations. The mayor explained that he felt compelled to speak publicly because he sees a limit that should not be crossed.
