Bukit Aman to interview ten former Negri Sembilan exco members amid constitutional dispute

Bukit Aman officials are scheduled to obtain statements from ten former members of the Negri Sembilan state executive council whose appointments were rescinded by the Yang di-Pertuan Besar, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, after allegations of oath violations. The interviews will be conducted in Seremban today, and a police officer will travel to the state tomorrow. A source said the former councillors are willing to cooperate but declined to provide further specifics, while not ruling out a connection to the constitutional crisis that erupted in April when the Undang Yang Empat announced the removal of Tuanku Muhriz. Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim was reported to have signed the proclamation but later claimed he acted under duress, maintaining that one outlet exco lineup remains legitimate despite members being barred from Wisma Negeri.
