CGS International gathered 500 policymakers and investors from China and ASEAN to discuss deepening trade, supply-chain ties and capital flows across the corridor.

At the CGS International China-ASEAN Business Leaders Summit, 500 delegates including government officials and institutional investors from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and China explored ways to tighten trade, manufacturing and supply-chain links and turn them into stronger capital connectivity. Guest-of-honour addresses by Cao Zhongming, Laksono Widodo and Edward Zhang set the tone for deeper institutional coordination and trust across the corridor.

Keynote speakers such as Zafrul Aziz, Khairy Jamaluddin and Andrew Sheng stressed the need to close the wealth gap and enhance local capabilities. Panel discussions, led by CGS executives, covered public-market integration, private-equity allocation, and the role of Chinese firms in ASEAN, with insights from regulators and exchange officials. Sessions also highlighted AI, semiconductor and energy-transition technologies as growth drivers. Organisers pledged to keep building a trusted capital gateway to support sustainable regional expansion.
