CJP slams unnamed ‘liberal’ bloc while Congress accuses AAP of blocking aid
CJP leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka attacked a self-described liberal “ecosystem,” and Congress spokesperson Reetam Singh replied, accusing AAP of preventing CJP members from receiving help.
During a heated online exchange, Cockroach Janta Party co-convenors Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka condemned a “self-declared liberal ecosystem” that they said was attacking founder Abhijeet Dipke and claiming he had recently captured the imagination of millions. Das labeled the group “total buffoons” and accused them of trying to position themselves as the sole defenders of democracy. In response, Congress spokesperson Reetam Singh alleged that CJP workers, after being detained in Assam, turned down Congress help because the Aam Aadmi Party ordered them not to engage.
Singh also criticized the CJP for using the movement to promote Arvind Kejriwal. The dispute comes a day after a massive CJP rally at Shivaji Park in Mumbai called for the resignation of chief election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. AAP Delhi chief Saurabh Bharadwaj defended the liberal camp’s right to voice opinions. The clash highlights tensions among opposition parties ahead of upcoming electoral battles.
