Customs Officer Killed by Husband at KLIA Quarters, Brother Calls Death Heartbreaking

A 35-year-old customs officer was found dead in KLIA staff housing, with police saying her husband surrendered and is suspected of the murder.

Norhazwani Ibrahim, a 35-year-old customs department employee, was found slain in the government housing at Kuala Lumpur International Airport shortly after 7 pm. Her brother Amran Ibrahim, 59, recounted receiving a call from the suspect—her husband—who confessed to the killing and later surrendered to police. Authorities said the husband had been released from prison a few days earlier after serving a drug-related sentence, and the couple were in the process of divorcing.

The police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad confirmed the investigation is proceeding under Section 302 of the Penal Code. Family members are arranging a post-mortem at Hospital Tuanku Ja'afar and planning burial in Kelantan. The tragedy has left the family devastated, describing the manner of death as “heartbreaking.”
